Becoming a Member of the Union

Option 1

To become a union member, you must first secure a job by applying under the ‘Job Line Position’ on our website. Applications are open to everyone, regardless of current union membership. Upon successfully obtaining a position and completing your probationary period, you may be given the option to join the union. Please contact the union office once you have completed your probation.

Option 2

Submit a fully completed Membership Application to union@iuoe904.com. Attach a detailed resume outlining your experience and equipment operated, along with copies of any operating certificates, safety certificates, or diplomas. Applications will be reviewed and voted on at the next Executive Board Meeting. All applicants will be notified of the decision following the review.

Transfer and Travel Cards

Members from other Operating Engineers Locals (e.g., 115, 793, 955) may apply for work and, if successful, will be dispatched on a Travel Card. If you wish to transfer your membership, Transfer Cards will be reviewed once you have secured a job and commenced work.
